Hello
I'm Ariel Scholten, a designer and systems thinker with a background in architecture, spatial product design, and climate technology. I build tools and frameworks that make complex decisions legible, connecting ecological data, land systems, and emerging technology into things people can actually use.
About Me
I design systems that help people understand and make decisions about land. My work sits at the intersection of spatial data, environmental systems, and user-facing tools, translating complexity into interfaces, frameworks, and narratives that are usable in real-world contexts. I’ve worked across architecture, landscape, and early-stage product development, including building an AI-assisted land analysis platform and designing enterprise-scale decision systems adopted globally.
I’m particularly interested in map-based and data-driven products, where trust, clarity, and real-world consequences matter. Much of my work focuses on how information is structured, surfaced, and interpreted, especially in environments where users are navigating uncertainty.
Outside of work, I spend time in nature across the Mountain West, which continues to shape how I think about usability, risk, and decision-making on the ground.
